Their territory is divided and occupied by Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Syria. Why haven’t France, Spain, Ireland, the UK, Norway, Portugal, Canada, Germany, Malta, and Slovenia recognised Kurdistan?'

 

Within less than twenty-four hours, this tweet amassed over one million views, a level of exposure far exceeding what most political figures, let alone private individuals, and certainly beyond the reach of a princeling whose only credential is his hereditary proximity to Israeli power structures, now strategically weaponised to project state-sanctioned narratives as private opinion, typically attain on the platform. Such disproportionate amplification raises legitimate questions regarding the mechanisms of its distribution. Whether through paid promotion or algorithmic privileging, the result is the same: X (formerly Twitter) has facilitated the widespread dissemination of a calculated piece of geopolitical propaganda. The platform’s role, whether passive or complicit, warrants scrutiny. Is this an instance of coordinated amplification by Israeli security interests leveraging X’s infrastructure, or does it reveal a deeper structural alignment between the platform’s algorithmic architecture and the strategic narratives of Israel’s information warfare?

 

Regardless of intent, the outcome is indisputable, X has become an instrument through which Israeli propaganda is disseminated to global audiences with noteworthy efficiency. That such a juvenile utterance could so swiftly inflame partisan tempers and captivate the imagination of the politically unlettered is a testament not to its rhetorical merit, but to the profound intellectual destitution of its audience. The tweet’s virality did not arise from any intrinsic analytical profundity or geopolitical relevance; rather, it owes its undeserved amplification entirely to the accident of Yair Netanyahu’s patronymic proximity to power. In any meritocratic discourse, such vapid proclamations would rightly be relegated to the digital oblivion they warrant. However, within the algorithmically engineered echo chambers of social media, the surname ‘Netanyahu’ functions as a de facto credential, bestowing upon adolescent banalities the unwarranted gravitas of policy pronouncements. Thus, we witness the elevation of hereditary mediocrity: a paltry little nobody’s comment masquerading as political insight, eagerly consumed by those too naïve, or too willing, to discern calculated demagoguery from informed discourse.

 

Who is Yair Netanyahu, and Why Do His Tweets Matter?

According to the ICC, Benjamin Netanyahu remains at large, actively evading international legal accountability for these grave offences.[2] These charges stem from his direct involvement in orchestrating and perpetuating policies and military operations that have resulted in widespread violations of international humanitarian law. Further substantiating these allegations, Amnesty International has conducted an extensive investigation concluding that, under Netanyahu’s premiership, the Israeli government has systematically perpetrated acts amounting to genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian population.[3]

 

Although Yair Netanyahu holds no formal governmental position, his role within the machinery of Israeli state propaganda is far from peripheral. His public interventions exemplify how familial proximity to power can be weaponised to serve political objectives, particularly in regimes where personal networks are strategically exploited to circumvent formal diplomatic constraints.

 

At first glance, he may appear to be a young man merely parroting the ideological dogma of his father’s right-wing political faction. Not one of these states has recognised Palestine as a sovereign nation, nor have they exhibited any genuine political will to do so. Their statements serve merely as performative theatre, crafted to pacify domestic populations increasingly outraged, not merely by governmental inaction, but by their governments’ tacit or explicit complicity in the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people. This duplicity forms the fertile ground upon which false equivalences thrive, providing opportunistic actors such as Yair Netanyahu with the rhetorical space to deflect criticism through misleading analogies.

 

This article deconstructs Yair Netanyahu’s Kurdish-Palestinian comparison within the broader framework of informational warfare and strategic narrative manipulation. By anchoring the analysis in both historical context and contemporary geopolitical realities, this article seeks to expose the strategic utility of false equivalence as a deflectionary and divisive tool in modern hybrid warfare.

 

 

Palestine: A Nation Betrayed by European Settlers

The origins of the Palestinian catastrophe are rooted in a classic settler-colonial project. Following centuries of European ‘Judeophobism’,[7] culminating in the Holocaust, waves of European Jews sought refuge, not in Europe, the source of their persecution, but in Palestine, a land already inhabited by an indigenous Arab population.

 

Palestinians, in a gesture of hospitality and humanity, welcomed these refugees into their homes. Yet, these guests soon turned into aggressors. Zionist terrorist groups, such as the Irgun and Stern Gang, waged campaigns of fear and death against their hosts, massacring civilians and forcibly expelling Palestinians from their villages and lands. The infamous Deir Yassin massacre is not a footnote of history, it is a living wound, re-opened daily by the bulldozers of occupation.

 

In 1947, the United Nations, an institution structurally designed to perpetuate Western geopolitical dominance under the veneer of international consensus[8], proposed a so-called “two-state solution”, arbitrarily partitioning Palestine between its indigenous inhabitants and European occupiers. The UN, much like its predecessor, the League of Nations, was architected not as a neutral arbiter of global justice, but as an instrument to formalise Western control through diplomatic façades.

 

This imposed division was not intended to resolve the conflict but rather to legalise the occupation. Subsequently, its institutionalised injustice paved the way for further legitimisation of land grabs by the newcomers and ethnic cleansing, where an artificial state, created as a garrison state by Britain and emboldened by Western patronage, expanded its territorial ambitions, confining Palestinians to the shrinking territories of Gaza and the West Bank, turning them into besieged, open-air prisons.

 

Far from satiating Israel’s colonial appetite, these territorial seizures have continued unabated, escalating into what many now characterise as a gradual genocide and campaign of ethnic cleansing. This process has culminated in the current full-scale annihilation of Palestinian existence on their ancestral lands, lands where, during the 6th century BCE, their ancestors, who were the original Hebrews, were liberated by Cyrus the Great from Babylonian captivity, and where, nearly 900 years later, in the 7th century CE, the indigenous population was compelled to convert to Islam and assimilate into the language and culture of the Arab conquerors. Worth mentioning, contrary to the assertion that Ashkenazi Jews are the true heirs of the ancient Israelites, it is immediately evident, even at a glance, that Ashkenazim, despite their Jewish identity, do not originate from the Middle East. Genetic studies have further corroborated this, demonstrating that they are not directly descended from the ancient Hebrews.

 

Additionally, Benjamin Netanyahu, on multiple occasions, has cynically referred to Israel and Iran as “two ancient nations”, a narrative device designed to fabricate historical symmetry where none exists. This assertion is not merely inaccurate; it is a blatant falsification and a crude exercise in historical revisionism, concocted to bestow a veneer of antiquity and legitimacy upon a settler-colonial enterprise whose very existence is predicated upon the dispossession of Palestine’s indigenous people, many of whom, as detailed earlier, are in fact the true descendants of the ancient Hebrews. Contrary to Netanyahu’s revisionist rhetoric, no political entity named “Israel” has existed at any point in recorded history until its artificial creation by Britain in 1948. The invocation of an “eternal friendship” between a recently manufactured colonial outpost and a nation such as Iran, whose civilisational continuity spans over 7,000 years, is not merely a historical fallacy; it is an act of geopolitical gaslighting.

 

Equating Israel, a state surgically implanted into the heart of West Asia by British imperial diktat, with Iran, a civilisation that has withstood millennia of conquests, dynastic transformations, and cultural renaissances, constitutes yet another exercise in false equivalence. It is a rhetorical sleight of hand intended to normalise Israel’s presence as an organic feature of the regional landscape, thereby obscuring its origins as an artificial entity, no different in its imperial genesis from other pseudo-states carved out by Britain’s colonial cartographers across West Asia. Israel’s very foundation is inseparable from the same imperial stratagems that birthed the artificial states of Iraq, Jordan, and Kuwait, geopolitical constructs drawn with rulers upon colonial maps, serving foreign interests under the guise of statehood.

 

Therefore, Netanyahu’s pronouncements of historical fraternity between Israel and Iran are not innocent diplomatic overtures; they are calculated instruments of propaganda, designed to distort historical consciousness and legitimise a settler-colonial state by weaving it into the fabric of an ancient civilisation to which it bears no authentic connection.

 

 

The Kurdish Question: A Misrepresented History

Yair Netanyahu’s attempt to conflate the Palestinian cause with the Kurdish struggle under Turkish and Arab rule, or, as he contends, under Iranian rule as well, is not merely flawed; it constitutes a deliberate distortion of history.

 

The Kurds, ethno-linguistically, are an Iranian people, belonging to the Iranic branch of the Indo-European language family. Contrary to Western narratives, the oft-repeated characterisation of Iran as a state composed of disparate “ethnic minorities” is a geopolitical fabrication, not an anthropological fact. This narrative was meticulously engineered, first by Soviet ideological frameworks and later by Western strategic interests, to erode the Iranian nation’s cohesion by artificially emphasising linguistic and regional distinctions as markers of separate ethnic identities.

 

In truth, the overwhelming majority of Iran’s population, whether Persian-speaking, Kurdish-speaking, Luri-speaking, Gilaki, Mazandarani, or Baluchi, belongs to the Iranic branch of the Indo-European ethno-linguistic family. These groups are not disparate “ethnic minorities” but integral components of a unified national identity, bound by profound cultural, historical, and genetic continuities that transcend mere dialectical variations.

 

Even those populations whose native languages stem from non-Iranic linguistic families, such as the Turkic-speaking Azaris, are ethnically Iranian. Their identity has been fundamentally shaped by, and has, in turn, enriched, the Iranian civilisational sphere. Across centuries, Azaris have played pivotal roles in Iran’s political, military, and cultural history, contributing not as outsiders but as intrinsic members of the Iranian nation.

 

The reductionist narrative that frames these groups as “ethnic minorities”, detached from an imagined “Persian core”, is a geopolitical construct, meticulously propagated by external powers. Its strategic objective is not to acknowledge diversity but to fracture Iran’s national cohesion by artificially elevating regional and linguistic distinctions into lines of ethnic division. This fabricated paradigm, inherited from Soviet-era stratagems and later weaponised by Western policy circles, serves as a tool of informational warfare designed to undermine Iran’s territorial integrity and civilisational continuity. By rebranding dialectical and regional identities as ethno-political cleavages, these external actors seek to manufacture internal fault-lines that can be exploited to destabilise Iran from within.

 

Thus, within Iran, Kurds are not an ethnic minority segregated from a so-called “Persian majority”; they are Kurdish-speaking Iranians, distinguished by language but united by a common civilisational identity. Their grievances with Iran’s current theocratic regime are shared by all Iranian citizens who yearn for political and social reforms. These grievances are national in character, not ethnically driven, and must not be co-opted into externally imposed narratives of separatism.

 

The separation of Kurdish territories from Iran was not the result of an internal colonial enterprise but rather a consequence of external imperial conflicts. During the protracted Ottoman–Persian wars, which commenced in the early Safavid era and persisted until the eventual collapse of the Ottoman Empire, Iran ceded considerable territories to Ottoman control, including regions that now comprise eastern Turkey, Iraq, and eastern Syria. In the aftermath of the First World War, the victorious British and French powers dismantled the Ottoman domains, carving out artificial states such as Iraq and Syria, thereby fragmenting Kurdish populations across multiple new borders.

 

The plight of the Kurds within Turkey, Iraq, and Syria has in fact been characterised by systematic oppression and cultural suppression at the hands of Turkish and Arab authorities. However, within Iran, Kurds are not regarded as an ethnic minority but as Kurdish-speaking Iranians who are recognised as part of the broader Iranian national family, distinguished by their language, but not by race or national identity. For the Iranian nation, irrespective of whether from the north, south, east, or west, Kurdish speakers are considered compatriots.

 

Kurdish Iranians have historically sacrificed their lives in defence of their homeland, alongside other Iranians, most notably during the eight-year Iran–Iraq War. Consequently, their grievances with the totalitarian theocratic regime in power are primarily socio-political, akin to those of other Iranian citizens, rather than arising from ethnic marginalisation.

 

Yair Netanyahu’s invocation of Kurdish statelessness is, therefore, a calculated provocation designed to exacerbate tensions between Kurds and their Arab and Turkish neighbours while posturing Israel as a supposed ally of the Kurds. This opportunistic narrative serves Israel’s strategic interests, aiming to fragment regional unity and divert attention from its own colonial crimes.

 

 

Demagoguery, Not Intellectual Engagement

To characterise Yair Netanyahu’s assertion as 'intellectually dishonest' would be an undeserved compliment, implying a level of cognitive engagement to which he patently does not aspire. What we witness instead is a product of hereditary privilege, illustrating how unearned platforms amplify state-sponsored demagoguery. Despite being a strategic extension of his father’s propaganda machinery, he is not engaging in political analysis, serious or otherwise; he is a dilettante offspring whose political posturing is as shallow as his inherited surname is prominent, a hereditary artefact in the marketplace of ideas, parroting of dinner-table provocations, repackaged for digital consumption, with the enthusiasm of one unaware of their own irrelevance.

 

His intellectual vacuity becomes glaringly apparent in his juvenile, naive rhetoric, exemplified by his recent tweet declaring: “from the river to the sea, this flag [Israeli flag]] is all you'll see!” Such bravado is not the posture of a seasoned strategist but the fantasy of a delusional youth, clinging to the archaic dream of a “Greater Israel”, an expansionist vision as detached from 21st-century geopolitical realities as it is from any semblance of moral legitimacy. In Yair's childish mind, proximity to power seems to have imbued him with the illusion that his infantile provocations carry strategic weight. Yet, in reality, his utterances serve no purpose beyond providing ammunition to Israel’s adversaries and embarrassingly exposing the garrison state ambitions that Israel's political elite often attempt to veil under diplomatic doublespeak.

 

Whether by foolish arrogance or orchestrated intent, Yair’s outbursts offer nothing to the discourse but further evidence of Israel’s enduring proxy mentality, a mentality that no amount of Western media sanitisation can conceal from a discerning global audience. His purpose is not to illuminate but to obfuscate; not to advocate for Kurdish rights, but to deflect scrutiny from Israel’s ongoing atrocities in Palestine.

 

Therefore, Yair’s comparison between the Kurdish and Palestinian struggles is a deliberate act of false equivalence, designed to deflect, distract, and distort. By exploiting the legitimate aspirations of the Kurdish people to be liberated from Turkish and Arab dominance, he attempts to dilute the moral clarity of the Palestinian cause while sowing discord within the region.

 

For those unwilling to be indoctrinated by the narratives of Western-controlled mainstream media, such tactics are glaringly transparent. The Palestinian cause does not require shallow analogies to other struggles to justify its legitimacy. It stands as a singular case of modern-day colonial occupation, demanding rectification through historical justice, not misdirection.

 

 

Israel’s Balkanisation Doctrine: A Strategic Blueprint for Regional Fragmentation

Israel’s political and military establishments have long pursued a strategic doctrine premised on the fragmentation of rival states within West Asia. This policy, colloquially termed “Balkanisation”, seeks to dismantle neighbouring countries into a patchwork of ethno-sectarian enclaves, rendering them politically incapacitated and geopolitically impotent. The destruction of cohesive nation-states, through the engineering of internal divisions, has become a cornerstone of Israel's survival strategy as a self-declared “garrison state” amidst a hostile region.

 

Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and now Iran, have been recurrent targets of this disintegration policy. The 2003 Anglo-American invasion of Iraq, while orchestrated under the pretext of eliminating weapons of mass destruction, effectively facilitated the sectarian atomisation of Iraq into Kurdish, Sunni, and Shia power zones. Similarly, the Syrian civil war, sparked by West under the guise of domestic dissent, was swiftly internationalised, with external actors, including Israel, exacerbating sectarian fractures to preclude the re-emergence of a unified Syrian state.

 

Lebanon’s confessional political structure, has also been relentlessly exploited to keep the country in a state of perpetual political paralysis, thereby neutralising it as a cohesive geopolitical actor.

 

In the Iranian context, Israel's strategic calculus has now turned towards fomenting ethno-linguistic separatism under the veneer of supporting minority rights. By artificially inflaming divisions among Iranians, Tel Aviv envisions the fragmentation of Iran into a series of weak, ethnically-labelled buffer states. They are the latest manifestation of a long-standing Israeli policy of destabilising neighbouring nations by promoting secessionist movements and exploiting internal grievances. By indirectly framing Iran as an “artificially-constructed empire of minorities”, Israel seeks to erode Iranian national identity and foster a narrative that legitimises external interference under the guise of supporting “oppressed peoples”.

 

This doctrine aligns with the broader Israeli strategic outlook which perceives any strong, unitary state in West Asia as an existential threat, irrespective of its political system. Thus, Netanyahu’s ostensible distinction between the Iranian people and the Islamic Regime is merely rhetorical subterfuge. In practice, the dismemberment of Iran, regardless of its governing structure, is the ultimate objective.

 

The Iranian nation, particularly those yearning for the end of totalitarian-theocratic rule, must be vigilant of these geopolitical traps. Aligning with an adversary whose vested interest lies in Iran’s disintegration is not a pathway to liberation, but a blueprint for national ruin.

 

 

Weaponised Rhetoric: How the Islamic Regime Exploits Israeli Provocations to Legitimate Domestic Repression

In May 2024, following an Israeli airstrike and the resulting fire at a camp for displaced Palestinians in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, an AI-generated image accompanied by the slogan “All Eyes on Rafah” went viral.[10] The post was shared by more than 47 million people worldwide. In response, Yair instigated a counter-campaign titled “All Eyes on Kurdistan”.[11] This campaign, which incited the ire of numerous human rights activists, shamelessly exploited the Kurdish cause as a mere tool for his father’s propaganda. Thus, the words Yair broadcasts to his considerable online audience are not spontaneous personal reflections, but rather carefully curated extensions of Israel's broader information warfare strategy.

 

Tweets such as Yair’s are seized upon with undisguised glee by the Islamic regime’s propaganda apparatus. The Islamic regime, ever eager to depict itself as the solitary bulwark against foreign conspiracies, readily recycles such provocations to substantiate its long-standing narrative that all forms of domestic dissent are orchestrated by hostile external actors. For a regime that has mastered the art of manufacturing existential threats to entrench its authoritarian grip, the adolescent demagoguery of a prime minister’s son constitutes a political gift of immeasurable value.

 

For a regime that survives not through popular legitimacy, but through an apparatus of coercion and manufactured existential crises, such provocations are political manna.[12] The Islamic Regime has long relied on the spectre of foreign plots, real or fabricated, to justify its domestic authoritarianism. Statements such as Yair Netanyahu’s tweet are swiftly co-opted by the regime’s propaganda machinery to portray any form of internal dissent or uprising as a foreign-instigated plot aimed at dismembering the country.

 

in fact, Tehran’s state controlled media has, in the past, adeptly seized upon similar Israeli or Western pronouncements to caution the Iranian public against the dangers of sedition, warning that any internal protest movement, no matter how organic or legitimate, will ultimately serve the designs of Iran’s sworn enemies. In this context, Israeli rhetoric does not weaken the Islamic Regime; it fortifies it.[13]

 

This dynamic is not accidental. The regime’s security apparatuses, particularly the IRGC and its intelligence arms, are acutely attuned to external narratives. They strategically await such foreign provocations to amplify the regime’s legitimacy and rationalise intensified crackdowns on political dissent. Yair Netanyahu’s ill-conceived tweets, therefore, provide the regime with precisely the pretext it requires to escalate its repression under the guise of “defending national integrity”.

 

The Iranian people, especially those who genuinely seek an end to theocratic despotism, must be acutely aware of this trap. Israel’s rhetorical interventions, far from facilitating the path towards liberation, risk sabotaging it by enabling the regime to depict domestic opposition as pawns of foreign schemes. Thus, Israeli provocations and the Islamic Regime’s reactionary authoritarianism form a symbiotic cycle, each feeding the other’s legitimacy at the expense of Iran’s popular democratic aspirations.

 

 

The Myth of Kurdish Unity: Demographic, Linguistic, and Sectarian Realities

Yair Netanyahu’s claim that “the Kurds are the largest stateless people in the world, with a population of around 45 million” is a striking example of statistical hyperbole and geopolitical myth-making. The figure of 45 million is completely false and it is a propagandistic inflation, circulated widely within certain media and political circles to amplify the Kurdish cause on the global stage. In empirical linguistic and demographic studies, the number of native Kurdish speakers, accounting for dialectical variations that are mutually unintelligible, stands closer to 26 million.[14] Even this figure requires nuance, as the designation of “Kurdish speaker” encompasses a spectrum of linguistic varieties that, in many cases, are functionally alien to one another.

 

The term “Kurdish language” is, in reality, an umbrella label encompassing distinct linguistic varieties such as Kurmanji, Sorani, Zazaki (Zaza), and Gorani, among others. While Kurmanji and Sorani are the two most widely spoken varieties, they themselves pose notable challenges in mutual comprehension. A native Kurmanji speaker often struggles to understand Sorani, and vice versa, and differ as much from each other as English and German.[15]. More strikingly, Zazaki, spoken primarily in eastern Turkey, is so linguistically distinct that it bears closer affinity to Northwestern Iranian languages like Gilaki and Mazandarani than to Kurmanji or Sorani. Many Zazaki speakers, who are predominantly Alavites (a form of Shi’a Islam), reject the Kurdish identity altogether, despite external classification efforts that lump them under the Kurdish ethno-linguistic banner.

 

Similarly, Gorani, spoken by isolated communities in Iraqi Kurdistan and western Iran, diverges so radically in phonology and lexicon from other Kurdish varieties that, for many Kurmanji or Sorani speakers, it might as well originate from a different planet. The superficial categorisation of these mutually unintelligible languages as mere dialects of “Kurdish” is not a reflection of linguistic reality but rather a political project designed to manufacture an illusion of ethnic homogeneity.

 

Beyond linguistic divisions, tribal affiliations and sectarian cleavages further fracture the so-called Kurdish identity. Kurdish society remains heavily tribalised, with various clans and factions often engaging in internecine conflicts over territory, resources, and political dominance. Historical grievances, vendettas, and disputes between rival Kurdish factions persist to this day, undermining any cohesive nationalistic aspiration. The notion of a pan-Kurdish identity is more a product of diaspora activism and foreign policy agendas than an organic reality on the ground.

 

Sectarian heterogeneity adds yet another layer of fragmentation. Kurdish communities are religiously diverse, encompassing Sunni Muslims, Shi’a Muslims, Alavites, and Yazidis. Far from fostering inter-communal solidarity, these religious distinctions have been sources of deep-seated prejudice and discrimination within Kurdish society itself. For instance, the Yazidis, adherents of an ancient syncretic faith, are often stigmatised as heretics or “infidels” by certain Sunni Kurdish factions, a sectarian prejudice that has fuelled cycles of marginalisation and violent persecution. This dynamic reached a grotesque climax during the rise of ISIS (Daesh), when thousands of Yazidi women and children were subjected to systematic enslavement, rape, and slaughter. While ISIS orchestrated the initial enslavement of Yazidi captives, it is a documented fact that certain Sunni Kurdish elements in Syria actively participated in this atrocity by purchasing Yazidi women from ISIS slave markets. Such complicity in the trafficking and subjugation of fellow “Kurds”, merely on account of religious difference, shatters the propagandistic portrayal of a cohesive Kurdish nation bound by solidarity and shared identity.

 

Given these profound linguistic, tribal, and sectarian divisions, the romanticised notion of a unified, sovereign “Kurdistan” is, at best, a geopolitical fiction. Any attempt to forcibly amalgamate these disparate groups into a singular nation-state is likely to precipitate internal conflicts and bloodshed, as competing factions vie for dominance, each asserting the supremacy of their language, religious practices, or tribal affiliations.

 

Historically, the only socio-political framework that has accommodated this diversity without effacing individual identities has been the broader Iranic civilisational sphere. Under the conceptual and cultural umbrella of Greater Iran, Kurdish-speaking populations, alongside other Iranic ethno-linguistic groups, have coexisted in a shared historical and cultural continuum. This paradigm offers a model of integration that does not demand assimilation or erasure of distinct identities, but rather situates them within a larger national family where no group feels alien or marginalised.

 

Thus, the path towards stability and recognition for Kurdish-speaking populations does not lie in the artificial creation of a fragmented Kurdistan, but rather in the repatriation of territories historically severed from the Iranian civilisational sphere, a restoration of lands lost through foreign-imposed partitions and imperial intrigues. Israeli proclamations of solidarity with the Kurds, often presented under the guise of championing minority rights, are nothing more than crocodile tears, weaponised empathy designed to manipulate, fragment, and ultimately discard. Tel Aviv’s pretensions of alliance are not anchored in a genuine commitment to Kurdish self-determination, but in the cold calculus of divide-and-rule. History provides a chilling precedent: if Zionist actors harboured no moral qualms in massacring their Palestinian hosts, the very people who extended refuge and hospitality, one need not stretch the imagination to foresee how readily they would abandon, or even annihilate, the Kurds once their utility as pawns of division has been exhausted.

 

Furthermore, the imperative of repatriation is not confined to Iran’s western frontiers. The artificial severance of Afghanistan, engineered by British imperial diktat through the so-called “Herat Question” of 1857[16], constitutes a festering wound in the Iranic civilisational continuum. Since that arbitrary partition, Afghanistan has known nothing but relentless cycles of foreign invasions, internal strife, and unending bloodshed. The path to terminating this tragic continuum of violence does not lie in perpetuating colonial-era border fictions, but in reuniting these lands and their people within the civilisational and cultural fold from which they were sundered. Such repatriations are not abstract cultural aspirations, but concrete physical imperatives, a strategic rectification of imperial fractures that continue to destabilise the region.

 

Therefore, only through re-establishing this civilisational unity within the Iranic world can a framework be forged where cultural pluralism is genuinely preserved, and no linguistic, tribal, or religious faction seeks to dominate or homogenise the other. Such a model ensures that Kurdish-speaking Iranians, alongside other Iranic groups, are recognised not as minorities trapped within artificial borders, but as integral members of a shared national family, each with an equal stake in their homeland's destiny.

 

 

Conclusion: Liberation Through Repatriation and Constitutional Nationalism, A Strategic Imperative

At this historical juncture, Iranian patriots must proceed with both clarity and caution. The path to political liberation cannot, and must not, be paved by those whose vested interests lie in the fragmentation of Iran’s national integrity. The Islamic Regime, far from being an organic outcome of domestic revolutionary will, was a political apparatus deliberately brought to power through a Western and Israeli-engineered coup disguised as a popular uprising in 1979. However, its eventual demise must not be achieved at the expense of Iran’s territorial cohesion or civilisational continuity.

 

The recent provocations by figures such as Yair Netanyahu, and the broader Israeli and Western posture towards Iran, serve as a stark warning: foreign actors who profess solidarity with the Iranian people are often the very architects of narratives designed to weaken Iran as a sovereign nation-state. These disingenuous overtures, cloaked in the rhetoric of minority rights or democratic ideals, are in fact geopolitical stratagems aimed at dismembering Iran’s territorial integrity and civilisational coherence.

 

Against this backdrop, the solution lies not in artificial constructs of ethnic micro-states, but in the repatriation of lands and populations historically severed from the Iranian civilisational sphere. This is not a call for irredentism or expansionism, but a strategic imperative to restore the organic cultural and historical unity that external imperial forces sought to dismantle. The diverse linguistic and religious identities within Iran, including Kurdish-speaking Iranians, can only find true recognition and equality within a national framework that is inclusive, sovereign, and indivisible.

 

The reconstitution of Iran as a constitutional parliamentary monarchy, which honours its millennia-old civilisational identity while embracing democratic governance, presents a viable and historically resonant alternative to both theocratic despotism and foreign-engineered balkanisation. A constitutional monarchy does not imply a return to autocracy, but rather the establishment of a unifying national symbol above factional politics, akin to successful parliamentary monarchies in Europe. It is a political architecture that inherently resists both internal tyranny and external manipulation by anchoring national identity in a non-partisan institution, while vesting political authority in democratically elected bodies.

 

Such a model would safeguard Iran’s unity by providing a constitutional mechanism to manage its cultural and linguistic diversity without succumbing to externally fuelled separatist narratives. It is through this framework that Iran can transcend the sectarian and regional divides that foreign actors exploit to destabilise the nation.

 

Furthermore, Iranian liberation must emerge from within, rooted in a grassroots nationalist movement that rejects both theocratic authoritarianism and the foreign-imposed false dichotomy of “minority rights” as a Trojan horse for fragmentation. True liberation will not be handed down by external powers, nor realised through the machinations of those who see Iran merely as a chessboard of competing interests. It will be achieved by Iranians who understand that sovereignty and democracy are not mutually exclusive, but complementary pillars of a future Iran, sovereign, secular, and unified.

 

Iran does not need foreign “saviours”; it needs the restoration of its sovereign constitutional monarchy under parliamentary rule, a bulwark against both internal despotism and external dismemberment. Those who claim to stand with the Iranian people must first demonstrate that they are not complicit in schemes to erase the Iranian nation.

 

In the meanwhile, Iranians in diaspora must recognise these rhetorical provocations not as isolated gaffes, but as calculated attacks on our national integrity. Our struggle for liberation must be anchored in indigenous agency, rejecting both theocratic despotism and foreign-engineered narratives of division. The battle for Iran’s future is ours to own ,  not for sale to external geopolitical gamblers.

When ignored, this misuse gradually becomes a tool to censor, oppress, and form a policing state, ultimately eroding democracy and freedom of speech. Therefore, the correct term is ‘Judeophobia’/’Judeophobism’.
